The WPIAL will not be requiring that their officials are vaccinated for the high school sports playoff season.
Earlier this month, the PIAA, which oversees high school athletics in the state, said they would require referees to be vaccinated to work postseason games.
However, WPIAL officials say referees have been working in the pandemic for the last two years, and that they know the safety protocols they need to follow.
