The New York Yankees held off elimination with an 11-4 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers last night in baseball’s World Series. The Yankees broke the game open with five runs in the eighth inning. Freddie Freeman gave the Dodgers an early lead with his fourth home run of the series in the first inning. He is the first player in major league history to hit a home run in each of the first four games of a World Series. Freeman now has home runs in six consecutive World Series games, dating back to his time in Atlanta.
Game 5 will be tonight in New York. The Dodgers still lead the series 3-1. Game time is 8:08pm and it will be televised on Fox. Former Pirate Gerrit Cole will start for New York. Jack Flaherty will start for the Dodgers.
If the Yankees win and force a Game 6, the series would move back to Los Angeles.
