A district attorney from York County is the first Republican to join the 2024 race to be the next Pennsylvania attorney general.
Dave Sunday announced his candidacy for the seat earlier this week.
He was elected as district attorney for York County in 2018 after previous stints in the office and for the Department of Justice.
Sunday says his main focus was on the opioid epidemic during his time as district attorney.
Current Attorney General Michelle Henry is a Democrat who was appointed to the seat earlier this year and is not running for election.
