A new fundraising event for the YWCA looks to find community member who aren’t ready to go the extra mile.
The YWCA is hosting their first ever Turtle Trot on Sunday, September 17th, which is a .5 K. “The race for the rest of us” is a about .3 miles long—and should take only 700 steps.
During the walk, there will be various activity stations set up including backyard games, selfie areas, and the “armchair athlete” station.
The money raised from the event will go toward the YWCA’s programs for women living in poverty.
