A Zelienople man is in the Butler County Prison after accusations he sexually assaulted a family member for more than 30 years.
The victim accused 84-year-old Louis Tomei of sexually them since they were 21-years-old.
The victim reported that Tomei would force the victim to commit several sexual acts and would take indecent pictures of them. The victim also accused Tomei of also hitting them in the head.
After a trip to the hospital this January, the victim claimed Tomei said his New Year’s Resolution was to “have sex with (the victim)”.
The victim then left their home to live with a family friend and reported Tomei to police. Police used a forensic interview, threats of violence made by Tomei, forbidding the victim access to phones, and more to charge Tomei.
He’s facing several charges including two counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and three counts of indecent assault. Bail was set at $75,000 and a preliminary hearing has been scheduled for April 15.
