A local organization and municipality have partnered to bring the public a new park recreation feature.
The Zelienople Community Park at 402 East Beaver Street now includes a permanent bag toss area near the large Rotary shelter. This area includes two durable concrete bag toss platforms framed by landscaping blocks, that blends with the surrounding landscape.
This is an effort of the borough’s Parks and Recreation Department and the Zelienople Rotary Club which donated $3,000 as well as provided design expertise and volunteer labor. The club has applied to the Rotary Foundation for a matching grant to cover up to half of material costs.
Visitors are welcome to bring their own bags or borrow a set from the park office.
