A local resident has been chosen for an honor as part of the Zelienople 4th of July Parade tomorrow.
The Rotary Club of Zelienople announced the selection of Don Pepe as Grand Marshal during their annual year-end dinner last month.
Lineup for the parade begins at 9 a.m. Wednesday with the start at 11 a.m. Pepe was chosen for the honor based on his long service to the community as former manager of Zelienople Borough. He retired in January after 17 years of service.
The club also recognized Jennifer Kaufman with the 2023 “Doc” Viola Service Above Self Award for volunteering with many local organizations including English Lutheran Church where she spends many hours each week running the Free Community Meal Program.
