There will be a new Butler Township Commissioner after an incumbent was defeated last night.
Commissioner Sam Zurzolo and new challenger Ed Natali were the winners for two open seats. They defeated Democrat Fred Vero, who had been seeking re-election.
It was a narrow race:
Natali: 2,602 (36.5%)
Zurzolo: 2,451 (34.4%)
Vero: 2,038 (28.6%)
Zurzolo has served on the township’s board for over 10 years, while Natali was the former chairman for the Butler County Republican Committee.
