Voters will have an opportunity to hear from candidates running in two special elections, and for Butler County’s next judge, at a “Candidate Forum” on Thursday.
The Butler County Chamber of Commerce is hosting the event at Butler County Community College’s Succop Theater. The public is invited and admission is free. The Butler Radio Network will broadcast the forum live on WISR 680AM, online at wisr680.com and on WISR’s free mobile app.
The first debate will begin at 5:30 p.m. between the two candidates running to replace State. Rep. Brian Ellis in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. Democrat Sam Doctor and Republican Marci Mustello will answer questions regarding the 11th district and its constituents.
At 6:30 p.m., Democrat Susan Boser and Republican Joe Pittman will debate. They are running for the state senatorial seat of Don White of the 41st district. White resigned in February due to health reasons.
And then at 7:30 p.m., voters can hear from the four candidates running to be Butler County’s next judge in the Court of Common Pleas: Matt Fischer, William “Wink” Robinson, Nicole Thurner and Jennifer Gilliland-Vanasdale.
The primary election is on Tuesday, May 21.
