A Butler County-based company has agreed to an acquisition that will strengthen their international profile and expand their product line.
MSA Safety, headquartered in Cranberry Township, announced they have reached an agreement to acquire Globe Holding Company for $215 million in cash.
Globe Holding makes protective clothing and boots for firefighters. They are headquartered in Pittsfield, New Hampshire and have 420 employees at plants in Oklahoma, Maine, and Virginia.
MSA’s products include breathing equipment, helmets and thermal imaging cameras. The acquisition is subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to close sometime in the third quarter of this year.
