Several Butler City residents were affected by a water line break Wednesday afternoon.
According to a representative from Pennsylvania American Water, a 12-inch main line broke on Marvin Street around 1 p.m.
Crews were able to get the water supply to that line shut off by 1:30 p.m. Approximately five residences were affected by this shut off.
The cause of the break is undetermined at this time but the representative expected repairs to be made and service restored by later Wednesday evening.
