Michigan on Tuesday canceled its annual college football rivalry game against Ohio State scheduled for this weekend due to a rising number of Covid-19 cases in Michigan’s program. This will be the first time in 102 years that the season-ending match, known simply as “The Game,” won’t be played. The Buckeyes played through a mini-outbreak last week last week when they defeated Michigan State 52-12. Covid-19 outbreaks have disrupted more than 110 games across major college football since August.
Ohio State remains one of the four College Football Playoff Teams this week. The selection committee’s second-to-last ranking release remains unchanged for the third consecutive week, with Alabama at the top, followed by Notre Dame and Clemson.
