Butler County has reached a grim milestone, with the Department of Health now saying more than 100 county residents have died of COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic.
Five more deaths were reported on Wednesday, bringing the total to 104.
Hospitalizations also continue to rise at Butler Memorial Hospital.
As of this morning, there were 54 patients being treated for the coronavirus, with 14 COVID patients in the ICU.
The Butler Health System has also reported three additional deaths to the Department of Health over the last two days.
There were 172 new cases of COVID-19 for Butler County today, along with 210 negative tests, giving the Department of Health’s daily report a 45 percent positivity rate.
