Slippery Rock University is already beginning to plan for a return to in-person, on-campus operations for the fall of 2021.
While the current plan is for the spring 2021 semester to follow the current fall of 2020 model with 80% of classes offered online, first-year students and those transferring this fall will follow a different plan.
These students will have at least two classes offered in-person with the possibility of more if conditions allow. On campus housing will be available for anyone who would like to live at SRU. Also, a variety of on-campus programs are planned that follow attendance limits and social distancing.
Seven groups of SRU faculty, staff, and administrators have been established to plan for campus operations during conditions expected to exist in the fall 2021 semester. About 700 students currently live in SRU residence halls which is about one quarter of the regular amount.
