A local municipality has joined the effort to support hospitality industry employees who are being laid off as a result of the latest state protective measures.
Last week the Butler County Commissioners announced that they are partnering with the Center for Community Resources and the Butler County Tourism and Convention Bureau in a Hospitality Campaign.
The Cranberry Township Board of Supervisors has instructed Butler County to direct $25,000 in federal CARES Act funding that would have gone to the Township to instead be used to support this effort.
According to Cranberry Township Manager Jerry Andree, the Board of Supervisors expressed appreciation to the County Commissioners for allowing that funding to be used for this purpose.
Any community member or organization who would like to support this campaign can do so through the Butler County Tourism Foundation or the Center for Community Resources. More information can be found at VisitButlerCounty.com
