The state is releasing an updated plan for their COVID-19 vaccine distribution.
State Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine says the newest plan lines up with the updated guidance from the Center for Disease Control.
“Phase 1A of the plan has been further defined to identify specific healthcare providers. There is now Phase 1B and that is now a significantly larger group of people, that includes individuals 75 or older, those with significant health issues, and essential frontline workers,” Levine said.
There’s also a phase 1C that includes people ages 65-75, those with high risk conditions not in the first two categories, and other essential workers.
Phase 2 will be for the general public.
