A couple of pets died in a house fire Monday afternoon in the city of Butler.
The call came into the Butler County 911 Center shortly before 3 p.m. for a two story structure on fire in the 100 block of Mercer Street.
Firefighters from Butler City, Butler Township, the VA, Penn Township, and Chicora were all called out to a working house fire.
It is not believed that anyone was injured as a result of this fire. The extent of damage and cause of the blaze are both unknown at this time.
