The Slippery Rock University football team were left out of the NCAA Division-II playoffs after losing their last regular season game 42-34 Saturday at Kutztown. Four Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference teams were selected for the post-season in Super Region One. IUP won the state championship game 24-7 over West Chester Saturday and have received a first-round “bye”. Shippensburg, California and West Chester were among the seven teams selected. The Rock had regular season wins over both Cal and West Chester.
