Governor Tom Wolf has announced that he plans to lift some gathering restrictions later this month.
Beginning Monday, May 17th, maximum occupancy limits will be increased to 50% for indoor events and 75% for outdoor gatherings. Current maximum occupancy is 25% for indoor gatherings and 50% for outdoor events.
Wolf explained that these revisions are being made as a result of the number of statewide COVID-19 cases declining as well as the number of people who have been vaccinated increasing.
Anyone away from home is still directed to wear face coverings both indoors as well as outdoors. Fully vaccinated residents are not required to wear a mask in certain situations according to CDC guidelines. The mask wearing order will be lifted when 70% of adult residents have been fully vaccinated.
