Karns City quarterback Mason Martin recently had a medication adjustment which yielded positive results.
According to Mason’s father, Mason had been having episodes of extreme drops in heart rate and oxygen levels.
Following testing, medical experts decided that Mason was dealing with an overactive vagus nerve which is responsible for calming heart and breathing rates. The frequency in administration of a beta blocker was reversed from three back to two with no incidents since that point.
His father expressed gratitude for the staff at Children’s Hospital in dealing with the stress of trying to help Mason achieve a state of stability.
