The Slippery Rock University football team was picked to win the PSAC-West Division during the PSAC’s annual media-release day. The event was held virtually – with head coaches being featured in videos discussing their teams. California won last year’s PSAC-West. They were picked to finish third, behind IUP. Defending PSAC champion Kutztown was picked to win the East, ahead of East Stroudsburg.
Slippery Rock will open their season Friday, September 5th in New Hampshire against Franklin Pierce. The Rock will be replacing all of their “skill” players on offense to begin the season. Last year’s starting quarterback, running back and tight end have graduated. Their two starting wide receivers transferred to Division I programs.
