The Pittsburgh Steelers have lost defensive back DeShon Elliott for several weeks to a knee sprain suffered in the team’s season-opening win in New York. The Steelers are signing 29-year old safety Jabrill Peppers, a former #1-draft choice of the Cleveland Browns. Peppers was cut at the end of training camp by New England. The Steelers will also be without rookie defensive lineman Derrick Harmon, along with back-up linebacker Malik Harrison for this Sunday’s home opener.
The Steelers host the Seattle Seahawks Sunday at 1pm. The Steelers are 2-1/2 point favorites.
The NFL week kicks-off Thursday with Green Bay hosting Washington. There will also be two Monday Night games.
