The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette has named Esmerlyn Jones of the Knoch softball team their Female Athlete of the Week. Jones pitched a three-hit shutout with 11 strikeouts to help lead the Knights to a 7-0 section win over Freeport in the last week. She also went 3-for-4 with two home runs in the game.The Knoch sophomore is batting .545 in the early spring season, and all of her hits have been for extra-bases. She also has not allowed a run on the mound.
