The Lightning are trying to track down Buffalo for first place in the Atlantic Division. They have 98 points and trail the Sabres by two points with eight games remaining in the schedule.
The Pens begin the night in second place in the Metropolitan Division and are four points up on a playoff spot. They have 92 points this season.
All of the Eastern Conference teams battling for playoff spots will be in action tonight.
