The Michigan men’s basketball team defeated UConn 69-63 last night to win the national championship in Indianapolis. It is the Wolverines first national championship since 1989. Michigan also became the first team to defeat UConn in the Sweet 16 or later since Michigan State beat the Huskies in the 2009 Final Four. UConn had won three of the last four national championships.
