High school sports scores from Monday:
The Butler boys track and field team improved to 5-0 this spring season with sweeps of Pine-Richland and Shaler Monday. Nico Baggetta broke a 20-year old record in the Javelin with a throw of 197’ 6”. The old record had been set by Junior Dunn in 2006.
Fun fact – it was four years to the day (April 6, 2022) that Nico’s older sister Megan broke Leatha Dudek’s triple jump school record.
The Golden Tornado had multiple first-place finishes Monday – including another sweep of the three relay events.
Butler will compete in the Tri-State Invitational this Saturday at West Mifflin.
Softball:

–Shaler-15 Mars-0 in three innings.
–Grove City-12 General McLane-4.
Baseball:
–General McLane-9 Grove City-0.
Girls Lacrosse:
