The Pittsburgh Penguins lost both ends of back-to-back games with the Washington Capitals over the weekend. The Pens rested numerous players over the two games. They lost Saturday 6-3 at PPG Paints Arena, then lost 3-0 Sunday.
The Pens complete their regular season Tuesday in St. Louis.
The Stanley Cup Playoffs begin this weekend. The Penguins will host a first-round opponent. The Philadelphia Flyers have the best chance of coming to Pittsburgh. They need to win one of their final two games this week to clinch the final Eastern Conference playoff spot.
