A Butler City man is facing charges after being accused of stealing a vehicle with no registration plate and fleeing police.
Wednesday morning, the victim reported to police that 19-year-old Tyler McCleery had stolen his vehicle that had no registration plate.
McCleery was soon spotted on Hickory Street and Center Avenue. The chase happened on the grass at Butler Technology and then into a parking lot at 100 Center Avenue.
McCleery parked the car and attempted to run from police on foot before being taken into custody.
Police charged McCleery with receiving stolen property, fleeing or elduing police, recklessly endangering another person, and several driving offenses.
He was placed in the Butler County Prison and his bail was set at $25,000.
A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for June 1.
