Officials with the Election Bureau say mail-in and absentee ballots for the upcoming special election will be sent out soon.
Around 6,000 ballots for the 12th District House race were being stuffed earlier this week and are expected to be sent out today and tomorrow.
The race features Republican Scott Timko and Democrat Brandon Dukes, who are seeking to replace Stephenie Scialabba, who resigned earlier this year. The seat covers the southwestern portion of the county.
The special election is August 18th. 27 precincts will be open that day from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
