Slippery Rock University distance runner Jennifer Cichra, who is also a Butler high school graduate, was named to Academic All-America honors when the College Sports Communicators announced the 2025-26 Academic All-America Women’s Track & Field and Cross Country teams last week.
Cichra is a recent May graduate from Butler earns her second Academic All-America award after closing out one of the best academic careers among all SRU students over the last four years. She finished her undergraduate degree with a perfect 4.0 GPA while majoring in mechanical engineering with a minor in computing, passing an incredible 174 credit hours in just four years with no grades lower than an A. She earned numerous honors, both regionally and nationally, for her academic excellence in the engineering field.
