A local residents association is facing a lawsuit after the state found a body of water in Center Township unsafe.
The Department of Environmental Protection filed the suit against the Hull Plan Residents Association. The suit stems from a 2021 finding that the Hull Plan Lake Dam was not safe and claims the association has not submitted a plan.
According to a social media post, the lake needs over $500,000 in repairs, including issues with the spillway.
The post from the association also says they’ve reached out to Center Township and the county to buy the property, but they’ve had no interest.
The group is canceling all future social events in an effort to try to raise the money to fund repairs.
