The Butler track and field teams traveled to the third Tri-State Coaches Association meet of the winter Saturday at Edinboro. They had seven all-time top-10 performances at the meet. Aaron Stebick won the 400-meter yard dash in the fourth-fastest time in Butler program history, in 51.46 seconds. Three of Butler’s distance runners set top-10 program marks, while Zari Golojuth set a top-five girls mark in the 3000-meter run.
Ethan Thomas finished fifth overall in the boys 3000-meter run, with the sixth-fastest time in Butler program history. Brandon Eicher finishes seventh and Logan Rogers eighth – with both posting marks inside the Butler top-10 all-time.
The Butler boys 4×800 relay team of Eicher, Rogers, Alex Matonis and Thomas won their event. The 4×400 relay team of Grayden Brown, Isaac Miller. Regan Peth and Carter Ekas had a runner-up performance.
Jocie Slesinski and Gracyn Vardy tied for runner-up in the girls High Jump. Their leap of 5’1″ is 10th-best on the Butler all-time list.
