The Pittsburgh Pirates were swept by the Milwaukee Brewers in their three-game weekend series at PNC Park. The Brewers completed the sweep with a 10-2 victory Sunday.
Rookie Bubba Chandler allowed nine hits and nine runs in his first major league start. He walked three and had three strikeouts, lasting only 2-2/3rds innings after making three appearances out of the bullpen.
The Pirates are off today, then begin a three-game series in Baltimore Tuesday.
The Brewers continue to maintain the best record in baseball. Sunday was their 89th win of the year. They are six games better than the second-best team in baseball — the Philadelphia Phillies.
