NFL Monday Night Football:
–Tampa Bay scored in the final seconds to defeat Houston 20-19. Tampa Bay quarterback Baker Mayfield threw for 215 yards and two touchdowns. The Buccaneers improved to 2-0. The Texans fell to 0-2.
–The Los Angeles Chargers defeated the Las Vegas Raiders 20-9. The Chargers jumped out to a 17-6 lead by halftime. Quarterback Justin Herbert threw for 242 yards and two touchdowns.
Several quarterbacks are either on the shelf or in question for games this week. Cincinnati’s Joe Burrow will have toe surgery and will miss at least three months. Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy has an ankle injury, and will miss two to four weeks. Washington quarterback Jayden Daniels has a knee injury and is questionable. Jets quarterback Justin Fields is in concussion protocol.
