The contract that the Pittsburgh Steelers gave to defensive back Minkah Fitzpatrick, which at the time was the highest ever paid to an NFL safety, has already been eclipsed. The Los Angeles Chargers signed Derwin James to a four-year $76.5 million contract extension this week. The Steelers had inked Fitzpatrick for just over $73 million.
The Los Angeles Lakers and LeBron James have agreed to a two-year $97 million contract extension. The deal will keep the 37-year old James under contract through the 2024-25 season.
