Girls Basketball last night:
–Seneca Valley lost to Canon-McMillan 47-42 in the WPIAL Class 6A semifinals. The Raiders have already qualified for the state playoffs, but will face Upper St. Clair Thursday in the Third-place Consolation game.
Canon-McMillan and Norwin will meet for the overall championship Saturday evening.
Boys Basketball last night:
–Moniteau fell to Redbank Valley 49-32 in the District 9 Class 2A semifinals.
Redbank Valley will meet Clarion in the title match.
Girls Basketball tonight:
–Slippery Rock will meet Fairview in the District 10 Class 4A semifinals. Tip-off is 6pm at Meadville high school.
–Karns City and Moniteau square off in the District 9 Class 3A semifinals. Tip-off is 7pm at Union high school.
–North Catholic will host Elizabeth Forward in the Class 4A Consolation game at 6pm.
Boys Basketball:
–Seneca Valley and Central Catholic meet in the Class 6A 3rd-place Consolation game.
–North Catholic will host Deer Lakes in the Class 4A Consolation game. Tip-off is 7:30pm.
Hockey:
–Butler defeated North Catholic 2-1 in overtime last night in the PIHL Class A First Round. Jase Renwick scored the game-winner for the Golden Tornado – who move on to face Canon McMillan in the quarterfinals.
