High School Scores:
WPIAL Soccer Playoffs:
–The Butler girls soccer team fell 4-3 to Mt. Lebanon last night in the Class 4A First Round. The Golden Tornado took an early lead in the second half after the game was tied 1-1 at halftime.
–The Mars girls soccer team defeated Kiski Area 1-0 in the Class 3A First Round. Mars will meet Plum in the Quarterfinals Thursday.
–The North Catholic boys soccer team defeated Yough 7-1 in the Class 2A First Round. The Trojans will meet Deer Lakes Thursday in the Quarterfinals.
Girls Volleyball Playoffs:
–Mars will host Belle Vernon in the Class 3A First Round at 7:30pm.
–Freeport and Chartiers Valley will also meet in the Class 3A First Round at Oakland Catholic high school at 6pm.
Hockey:
–Knoch-11 Sewickley Academy-2. Cross Swaney led the Knights with four goals.
–North Catholic-4 Beaver-3.
