Officials say the leaves may turn color quicker than usual due to the lack of rain.
According to the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, fall foliage may happen quicker than usual.
While our region is classified as “just starting to turn” colors, DCNR officials say less drought tolerant trees like maple, birches, black cherry, and yellow poplar are experiencing rapid color change.
Officials still expect the diverse forests to provide plenty of eye-popping color throughout the month of October.
