The Mars Area School District will see a new Superintendent next year.
During last week’s work session meeting, the Mars Area Board of School Directors approved a proposal to Conduct a Superintendent Search with BR2 Educational Consultants in the amount of $14,000.
The retirement of Superintendent Dr. Mark Gross effective at the end of the current school year has not yet been officially announced or accepted by the school board. He is currently working under a three year contract signed in 2024 with an annual base salary of $210,000.
When he retires next year, Gross will have spent seven years as Superintendent of Mars Area School District.
