The Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the Los Angeles Kings 4-2 last night. The Pens fell behind 2-0 in the first period before Evgeni Malkin scored on a second period power play. Filip Hallander scored the game-winning goal shorthanded in the third period. It was his first NHL goal. Sidney Crosby added an empty-net goal in the final :30 seconds of the game. Goaltender Arturs Silovs stopped 30 of 32 shots on net.
The Pittsburgh Penguins visit the San Jose Sharks to complete their west-coast road trip Saturday night. Face-off is 10pm. Pre-game on WISR begins at 9:30pm.
The Penguins return home for one game to host the Vancouver Canucks Tuesday.
