The Penn State Nittany Lions have fallen out of the top-25 after being upset by UCLA 42-37 Saturday. The Nittany Lions began the season ranked #2. They fell to #7 after losing to Oregon the week before. It is the first time since 2022 that Penn State is not ranked in the top-25. They visit Northwestern this Saturday at 3:30pm.
Pitt started freshman quarterback Mason Heintschel and defeated Boston College 48-7. He threw for 323 yards and four touchdowns. The Panthers visit Florida State for a noon kick-off this Saturday.
In the latest Associated Press rankings–Ohio State remains #1 after their 42-3 win over Minnesota. Miami defeated Florida State 28-22 and are now ranked #2. Oregon, Ole Miss and Texas A&M round out the top five.
The Slippery Rock University football team lost to Gannon 38-35 Saturday afternoon. It was Gannon’s first win of the season. The Rock fell to 3-2 and will visit Seton Hill this Saturday for a noon kick-off. The Griffins defeated California 13-7 Saturday for their first win of the year as well.
