The Penn State baseball team defeated Pitt 19-6 in a game played yesterday at PNC Park. The Nittany Lions scored 14 runs in the top of the ninth inning after the Panthers took the lead in the bottom of the eighth inning with five runs. Penn State improved to 25-24 this season. Pitt fell to 27-23, and have dropped 10 of their past 16 games. Before the losing streak, the Panthers appeared a lock to make the field of 64 for the national playoffs.
