The Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the Colorado Rockies 10-5 Wednesday afternoon at PNC Park. Rookie Jack Suwinski and infielder Josh VanMeter each hit three-run home runs in the game. Suwinski currently leads National League rookies with five home runs this season. Mitch Keller led four relievers who allowed just one run over six innings.
After taking two of three games from Colorado, the Pirates begin a three-game series in San Diego Friday after an off-day today.
