The Chicago Cubs shutout the Pittsburgh Pirates 9-0 last night, despite losing 10 of their last 11 home games at Wrigley Field. The Pirates gave up eight runs in the first inning, while getting three hits the entire game. The Pirates were no-hit until the fifth inning after being no-hit by Cincinnati Sunday.
Dillon Peters opened the game for the Pirates, and allowed five earned runs in 2/3rds of an inning.
The Cubs host the Bucs again tonight at 7:40pm. WISR pre-game is 7:15pm.
