The Pittsburgh Pirates dropped the second game of their 4-game home series against the Philadelphia Phillies Friday night in the 10th inning by a score of 4-2. Rhys Hoskin, who went 4 for 4 with a walk, took Duane Underwood jr. deep in the 10th inning to put the Phillies ahead for the win.
Jose Quintana, in what will likely be his final start for the Pirates, had 5.2 shutout innings, collecting 4 strikeouts and scattering 4 hits. Kevin Newman had 3 hits in the game and Ke’Bryan Hayes hit his 5th home run of the season.
