The Slippery Rock University football team snapped a two-game losing streak with a 49-7 victory on the road to Seton Hill Saturday. The Rock ran for 410 yards just a week after rushing for 374 yards against Gannon. It marked the first 400+ yard rushing performance by an SRU team since Sept. 12th, 2015 against East Stroudsburg and was just 46 yards shy of the program’s single-game record of 456 (against East Stroudsburg in 2014).
Rock running back Jay Jay Jordan continues to lead the PSAC in rushing. He ran for 189 yards on 13 carries against Seton Hill.
Freshman quarterback Da’One Owens ran for three touchdowns. The Rock will host rival IUP for their Homecoming Game this Saturday at 1pm.
