Five Butler County wrestlers won WPIAL Class 3A Section championship matches Saturday at Butler high school. Santino Sloboda and Sutton Stoner of Butler, Riley Smith and Zach Hill of Seneca Valley, along with Olympic Serrao of Mars captured victories to advance into the WPIAL championship tournament. With his victory, Sloboda broke the Butler school record with 161 career wins. They head to the WPIAL overall Individual championships this weekend.
Four Knoch wrestlers qualified for the Class 2A WPIAL wrestling championships this weekend:
–Brayden McGowan took 3rd in the 152-lbs class, Anthony Jula 139lbs – 4th, Keegan Orris 160lbs – 5th and Jack Nowicki 189lbs – 5th.
