The Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Atlanta Falcons 20-13 in their season-opener Sunday at Acrisure Stadium. Aaron Rodgers threw for 221 yards and a score, that touchdown was to tight end Pat Freiermuth. Rodgers found seven different receivers during the win. Chris Boswell hit two field goals, but missed one. Jaylen Warren led the Steelers ground game with 46 yards on 10 carries.
Steelers linebacker T.J. Watt scored the first “pick-six” of his career in the fourth quarter to give the Steelers a 10-point lead.
Falcons running back Bijan Robinson had 83 yards on the ground on 21 carries. He had 90 yards on eight catches, but also fumbled twice. Both fumbles were recovered by the Falcons.
The Steelers visit the New England Patriots this Sunday at 1pm.
