The Cincinnati Bengals defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 33-31 in the NFL Thursday Night Football Game last night. The Steelers took a 31-30 lead with two minutes remaining in the game, but the Bengals kicked a 36-yard field goal with seven seconds remaining in the game for the victory. The Steelers took an early 10-0 lead into the second quarter, but the Bengals would score the next 20 points of the game.
The Steelers defense allowed 470 total yards in the game. Bengals quarterback Joe Flacco threw for 342 yards and three touchdowns. Their running back, Chase Brown ran for 108 yards on 11 carries. The Bengals top two receivers combined for 22 catches and 257 yards. Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers threw for 249 yards and four touchdowns, but also threw two interceptions. Jaylen Warren rushed 16 times for 127 yards. Tight end Pat Freiermuth had 111 yards and two scores.
The Bengals snapped a four-game losing streak with the win, improving to 3-4. The Steelers fell to 4-2 and will host the Green Bay Packers for the Sunday Night Football Game on October 26th.
During last night’s game, Aaron Rodgers passed retired Steeler Ben Roethlisberger for fifth place on the NFL’s All-Time passing yards list.
