Shane van Gisbergen won his fifth consecutive road course race in the Nascar Cup Series Sunday, when he won for the first time on the Charlotte “Roval”. Following the race, eight drivers have advanced to the next round of three races, with four races remaining in the season.
Joey Logano was the eighth and final driver to advance, after Ross Chastain was knocked out when he and Denny Hamlin spun on the final lap. Ryan Blaney, Chase Elliott, Kyle Larson, Christopher Bell, William Byron, Chase Briscoe and Hamlin are the other seven drives still eligible to win the Cup Series championship as they head to Las Vegas Motor Speedway this Sunday.
